A Glimpse into the Future: Staff Tour New Intensive Care Unit

On Monday, May 5, 2025, staff had the opportunity to explore the new Intensive Care Unit at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving. This exciting development has been made possible thanks to the generosity of our donors.

Final inspections and preparations are currently underway, with the goal of moving into the new 16-bed ICU by late May 2025. To date, donors have contributed $1.1 million toward the $19 million construction project, including a generous gift from the Estate of Margaret Sutherland, a former director of the Baylor Scott & White Irving Foundation.

Once the current ICU is vacated, the old ICU space will be transformed to include five new, larger operating rooms—further advancing our capacity to provide exceptional care.
