Donors’ gift help make Irving’s only nonprofit hospital, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving, one of North Texas’ most recognized facilities for quality and safety. The hospital is recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a Five Star facility in its quality rating system. Leapfrog recognizes the Irving hospital as A-rated for safety and quality, and U.S. News & World Report recognizes it as a top facility in multiple specialties. Philanthropic support makes these achievements possible.
Surgical Department
It was so well constructed that some operating rooms have been in continual use since that time. However, surgery has improved vastly across the decades—and now it is time to upgrade our Surgical Department to meet the medical needs of patients from our community. It’s one of three key projects that our nonprofit hospital is undertaking between now and 2026—and seeking community help in the form of gifts—so that the medical center is prepared to care for future generations.
