Baylor Scott & White – Irving Community Clinic
Donors helping to add second charitable clinic physician
Did you know Texas has the highest rate of uninsured residents in the country? In the heart of Irving, within the Irving Community Clinic’s main ZIP codes (75060, 75061 and 75062), up to 35% of neighbors lack health insurance—far above the Dallas County average. Texas also is one of the fastest-growing states, meaning there are more people relocating here—including those without medical insurance.
Today, donor support will help the Baylor Scott & White – Irving Community Clinic welcome a second physician. This additional medical provider, working with Dr. Renika Thompson, will enable many more patients to become and stay well.
Donors have fueled innovation and growth at every step. In 2014, their generosity launched a Well Woman and Family Program, bringing specialized care to women and children. And in 2023, donor support expanded the clinic’s coverage to include pediatric patients from birth to age five—so the clinic’s team now can care for entire families.
Today, Baylor Scott & White – Irving Community Clinic serves over 3,000 patients annually, including many who visit multiple times each year. The dedicated medical team provides primary, preventive, behavioral and chronic disease care. The clinic also offers wound care—the only Baylor Scott & White community clinic in North Texas with this specialized service.
To every donor who makes this possible: thank you for bringing good health and hope to neighbors in need!
3,000+ patients annually receive care at the Baylor Scott & White – Irving Community Clinic, and many of these patients visit multiple times a year.
