Irving continues earning top hospital accolades
Throughout 2025, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving has been recognized for quality, safety and excellent patient care experience by several independent organizations. Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization that advocates for positive change in U.S. healthcare, has awarded Baylor Scott & White – Irving “Straight A” status for earning its highest ranking for more than five consecutive times. The rankings are reported twice annually, and Irving’s only nonprofit hospital now has been recognized six times by the Leapfrog Group.
The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services has awarded the Irving hospital a “Five Star” rating, it’s highest ranking for quality, safety and patient experience. Only 290 hospitals nationwide—of more than 6,100 hospitals total—have received CMS’s “Five Star” designation. This is the fifth year that Baylor Scott & White – Irving has received a CMS “Five Star” rating.
Other accolades include U.S. News & World Report’s top-hospital recognition in seven areas, including colon cancer surgery; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); diabetes care; heart attack care; kidney failure treatment; pneumonia care; and maternity care services.
