Gifts support return of open-heart surgery services
Contributions from the heart are helping Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving offer open heart surgeries for the first time in more than seven years. Thanks to gifts totaling $2.5 million to date, the hospital has been able to secure necessary new equipment that surgical teams will use for cardiovascular surgeries. An anonymous donor and the Harry S. Moss Heart Trust have both contributed to this service expansion. The hospital projects the first open heart surgery in Irving since 2017 will be done in February 2025.
