Parties With a Purpose
Many favorite memories for our board and staff are of the special events since 1977 that our foundation has either hosted, or that others have hosted, to raise funds to help our organization. Notable past events include:
- Taste of Irving to benefit the hospital during the 1970s and 1980s
- Affairs Around Town a series of events in the early 2000s hosted in donors’ homes to raise resources for Our Children’s House at Irving
- TREEmendous! a 2014 gala and auction of 50 holiday trees decorated by local volunteers and businesses to help celebrate the hospital’s 50 years of service to our community
- Luxury & Super Car Showcase hosted by Park Place Dealerships of Irving in 2019 at the Four Seasons Resort and Club
- Irving Marathon an ongoing Boston Marathon-qualifying series of running events
- Cure Four All Seasons The Four Season Resort and the members of its Sports Club–through the Cure Four All Seasons series of events since 1992–have given more than $3 million to give our cancer patients a fighting chance. Every advancement through the years at Baylor Scott & White – Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center in Irving has been funded by appreciated gifts from donors.
- TexasFest Across more than four decades, our TexasFest gala has raised more than $11 million to support endeavors to help people from the DFW mid-cities live healthier lives. Gala proceeds have supported hospital expansion projects, nursing and allied health education, new and updated medical equipment, and community outreach efforts that promote disease prevention and health promotion.
In the Fall of 2023, Baylor Scott & White Irving Foundation presented our Texas Icons Luncheon that has continued and build upon the legacy of donors and volunteers.
