Whether a relative lives around the corner or across the globe, they can see their tiniest new relatives thanks to new cameras in our newborn nursery and our Special Care Nursery (SCN) for sick or premature babies. New parents can provide secure online access to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends so they can check in at any time on a baby in our hospital nursery. Donors have made possible seven cameras to date, but the nursery team is requesting an eighth camera. A gift below can help make this next camera possible.
"Having the ability to watch our son on the camera was a huge comfort when we had to be away from him. While we knew he was well cared for, being able to see him anytime, day or night, helped us to feel like we were closer to him. It gave us access to the part of our heart we couldn’t take home yet.”
— Denise Azucena, mother of Colin (patients at BSW Medical Center - Irving)
Praises from other nursery camera users:
The first time I saw my baby boy was via a nursery camera after he was born via an emergency C-section at 24 weeks. It was always comforting to log-in and see him when I wasn’t physically able to be with him. I am forever thankful for these cameras! It’s hard to believe that I’m looking at my daughter from 7,000 miles away in Kuwait. It can’t get any better. I absolutely love it.
