Sima and Sushil Patel and their family recently pledged a gift to name a key area at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving. The Sima and Sushil Patel Day Surgery Unit serves thousands of patients each year. “Sushil is chairman of the hospital’s board of directors, so he commits not only financially but with the gift of his valuable time,” explained Cindy Schamp, the medical center’s president. The Patel’s gift will be used to equip a technologically advanced operating room in an expansion planned for 2027.
